The High School Tutor Re-imagined

All payments run through PayPal to ensure that transactions are secure. 

There are two types of curriculum that parents can choose from. We use Americas #1 bestselling educational workbook, Brain Quest, that must be purchased prior to the first session. Parents also have the choice of supplying their own curriculum (multiplication tables, virtual school, etc) that must be agreed upon in collaboration with the tutor.  

A parent supplied curriculum can be anything from practicing times tables to virtual school. If the material is virtual school and can only be viewed on the child's screen, tutors can view the material through the screen mirroring function on Zoom. If the curriculum is not virtual school, please communicate with the tutor to ensure that they are comfortable with the material. Yes, we ask that parents purchase the Brain Quest workbook before the first session. Workbooks run for about $12.

Yes, if you feel like the tutor is not the right match for your child, we can change the tutor. 

After collaborating with the tutor and finding a date that works on both ends, the tutor will send a Zoom code 10 minutes before the session will start. We ask that you install Zoom on your phone or PC beforehand to ensure the best connection. Parents will input the zoom meeting number and code to join the session.

We use a program called Remind to facilitate secure communication between tutor and parent. Students Tutor Online has access to these messages in the case of an issue or misunderstanding. 

Because Remind messages between parent and tutor can be viewed by Students Tutor Online, we will ensure that the session does not count towards the hours purchased. If parents prefer a different tutor we will change the tutor upon request.

Because each of our tutors focus on a specific K-5 grade level and curriculum, we assign parents a tutor. If the parent feels like the tutor is not the right fit, we are more than willing to switch the assigned tutor.

Unfortunately we don't offer refunds for unused hours. We encourage parents to purchase one hour packages if they are unsure whether the 10 or 20 hour packages are the right fit.
